Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and structure of ESRS E2 and identify which disclosure requirements apply to their organisation based on materiality assessment.
- Develop pollution prevention and control policies that cover air, water, soil, substances of concern, and the value chain (E2-1).
- Identify and report key pollutant releases to air, water, and soil using the E-PRTR framework and additional measured pollutants (E2-4).
- Build and maintain a substance of concern register covering SoC, SVHC, and the new mandatory microplastics datapoint (E2-5).
- Set measurable pollution reduction targets with base years, milestones, and scientific or regulatory benchmarks (E2-3).
- Prepare ESRS E2 disclosure narratives and quantitative data tables ready for inclusion in the sustainability statement, including the centralised financial effects approach under ESRS 2 (E2-6).
