Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and structure of ESRS E1 and identify which disclosure requirements apply to their organisation based on materiality assessment.
- Develop a climate transition plan aligned with the 1.5°C decarbonisation pathway, including targets, milestones, and resource allocation (E1-1, E1-5, E1-6).
- Calculate and categorise Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions and energy consumption data in accordance with E1-7 and E1-8 requirements.
- Conduct a climate risk and resilience assessment using scenario analysis methods required by E1-2 and E1-3.
- Apply internal carbon pricing concepts and evaluate GHG removals and carbon credits against ESRS quality criteria (E1-9, E1-10).
- Prepare ESRS E1 disclosure narratives and quantitative data tables ready for inclusion in the company's sustainability statement.
